How events are chosen

An event is listed when an institution organises it, publishes its own page, and meets one of these tests:

  • It is focused on women's health, in any format from a half day upwards.
  • It is a speciality or general health event, with health on its programme, that is a society congress, an intergovernmental or parliamentary forum, a Nordic political festival, or larger than 300 participants or 50 speakers by the organiser's own figures.

Nobody is left out or moved up because of a relationship with Women's Health 2040, and no organiser pays to be listed. Community events below the bar are listed on request.

Method. Every event is checked on the organiser's own page before it is listed, and the dates shown are the organiser's. An event appears once the organiser has published that edition's own page with dates. Women's health on the programme is read from the published programme; where none is published yet, the card says so. Past events leave the list the day after they end. The list is refreshed on the second Monday of every month, when every link is checked again. Always confirm details on the organiser's own page.

Disclosure. Women's Health 2040 is held as open commons and has no commercial link to any event listed here. Listings are criteria-based and applied uniformly: an event appears because it meets the criteria above, never because of any relationship to it.

Tell us what we have missed. The Events Telescope is built from public sources, so it is only as good as what organisers publish and what we can see. If an event is missing, misclassified or has changed, write to hello@womenshealth2040.org and we will include or correct it.
